Upstage Theatre presents The 39 Steps at Tulloch Wines

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunnit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre!

This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, and some good old-fashioned romance!

Head to Tulloch Wines for a riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stage-craft. Bring your own picnic or add on one of our generous cheese and charcuterie hampers. Then relax with a glass of wine whilst you’re entertained under the stars on our terrace lawn.

1. What if it’s raining on the day of the event?

Our production of The 39 Steps is an all-weather event. In case of bad weather, we'll move your tickets to another performance date. We want to ensure you enjoy the show without any weather-related worries.

2. Can I get a refund for my tickets if I can't attend the rescheduled date?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable, but we're more than happy to move your tickets to another available performance date.

3. Can I bring my own picnic and drinks to the event?

Absolutely! Patrons can bring their own picnic and non-alcoholic drinks to make it a personalized and enjoyable experience. However, BYO of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.   

4. Will alcoholic beverages be available for purchase at the event?

Yes, Tulloch Wines will be available for purchase from the bar on the night.

5. What should I wear to the outdoor production?

Dress for the weather and be prepared for outdoor conditions. Layers and comfortable attire are recommended. It’s also a good idea to bring mosquito repellent, especially during outdoor events to keep those pesky bugs at bay.

6. Is there seating provided at the event?

Seating is not provided, but you're welcome to sit on picnic rugs or low picnic chairs. If you bring camping chairs, our ushers will guide you towards the rear of the audience space for the best view.
